PURPOSE: The Marketing Manager works closely with the Horus Vision Reticle Technology team to develop the strategic marketing vision and path forward for the company. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, advertising, content creation, marketing communications, research and reporting, media outreach, social media management, website management, media communication and outreach, campaign execution, third-party agency management, trade shows and exhibition management, budgeting, and international marketing strategies and tactics management. The position will be based in the Bellevue/Seattle, WA area and will be situated in a remote home office.


  • Four-year college degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or similar
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar position. Extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry, both domestic and international, preferred
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles and methods
  • Proven experience implementing effective marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Experience with shooting and hunting preferred
  • Experience in the Sport Optics industry preferred
  • Strategic thinking, problem analysis, and problem-solving skills required
  • Experience in marketing to government and military organizations preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required
  • Expert in social media management
  • Excellent time management skills required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Core Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the development, management, and completion of marketing projects and programs
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy, plans and projects in line with company objectives for continued growth of the Horus Vision Reticle Technology brand
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and programs
  • Research current market conditions and competitor information, and implement action based on results
  • Manage and provide direction to media and third-party marketing vendors
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget
  • Plan, manage, participate and take full responsibility for trade shows and exhibition activities
  • Establish, maintain, and build relationships with appropriate industry partners and contacts
  • Responsible for the creation and publication of marketing materials, as well as content management for website and social media sites
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activities and results
  • Report on ROI and key performance metrics
  • Plan, manage, and participate in appropriate shooting competitions and activities
  • Manage Test and Evaluation program and inventory
  • Maintain effective internal communication to ensure all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
